OK, need to tackle my broken axle tomorrow, got a new laptop with Windows 7 and apparently WIS can't be loaded to this version of Windows? That rots as I loved referring to it..
Does anyone have any tips for the removal/replacement? It's sheared off where bolt would hit the hub..
It appears common to remove everything from hub to poull hub and get to axle, but do I need a spring compressor to disconnect strut from hub?
Will the axle slip out of the hub bearing or is a puller normally needed to push axle out? or will I have to simply beat it out?
Does the tranny side of axle slide out or is it clipped or bolted? Will tranny fliud ooze out?
Any up front advise would be appreciated to get me prepared and maybre not have this be an all day project, but I'm gonna tackle it either way..
Thanks..
