So should I go ahead and replace the head bolts if I'm already planning on pulling the valve cover? The head bolts were retorqued at the dealer previously, not sure when. I've been trying to find the info pertaining to what VIN's were affected by the head bolt recall and find differing answers: only 2001 models or 1999-2001 models. Was there actually a recall or just a TSB on the retorque? What years/VINs?
Personally, I'm not too concerned with the leak, as long as everything else is the way it's supposed to be. I have already done PCV#6. Oil analysis from last spring was good, and my coolant in the reservoir is clear. Previous owner has documented 3K mile oil change intervals at dealer. I have not had to add oil, and I only added coolant once because I didn't put enough back in after my thermostat replacement.
Thanks
