With 3 9000's, a 2001 9-3 CV, and a 2002 9-5 SW, the only place that I, personally, have experienced oil leaks on the right side of the engine has been with the o-ring in the oil pump cover and with an improperly installed crankshaft seal. Because of the difficulty of removing and replacing the large circlip holding the cover in place, many people (including mechanics who should know better)ignore the o-ring and just replace the CS seal. Somewhere around 100K miles, the o-ring hardens and when the engine heats and cools, some oil leaks by the seal at pump pressures. Synthetic oils are particularly prone to leak by hardened seals.
The crankshaft seal should be installed flush with the lip of the cover, not pushed into the recess. A careful inspection of the harmonic balancers shows where the seal presses against a polished section. Pushing the seal deeper into the recess causes it to ride against an unpolished area of the harmonic balancer spindle/shaft, leading to premature wear and ultimately leaks.
Professionals such as SWEDECAR have far more experience than I do, of course, but replacing these two seals properly has always cured my oil leak problems on the right side of the engine for these 5 cars. I have seen oil leaks on the left front corner of the block above the CPS on my 9000's - especially when I switched to synthetic - but these leaks were the head gasket in that area or at the distributor plug on the B234 9000 engine head.
