So after calling the shop that replaced my pressure sensor (due to the C0131 code) telling them the lights came back on just before I got the car home, I went back there yesterday to drive with a technician riding along. The lights came on just before I got there, but while we were riding together, of course they didn't come on.
So we had him scan it with the tech2 back in the shop and suddenly the lights came on, and the code c0551 cannot program ecu came on.
He recommended getting the ABS module rebuilt. Will this help? Did a connector come loose to cause this code?
Now the lights are on when you first start the car, that wasn't the case before.
Is this a transmission computer fault or is it still just the ABS?
As always, speedometer, cruise control, winter/sport functions, paddle shifters all work properly.
I got an ebay auction win from BBA last year and never used it. I hope they honor the very low price I got. Waiting to hear back today for a new shipping label to send to them. If I send it to them and they say it is NOT the module, then what? I'm out the money I paid for the rebuild right?
This really stinks now. I haven't had reliable ABS in a long long time. I hope it is the module and depite throwing $500 at the pressure sensor, rebuilding it will finally fix this so I can get back to enjoying my car again.
They did a good job on the v6 oil cooler, I haven't lost any coolant from the reservoir, knock on wood.
