I bought Vredenstein Quatrac 3s for our 9-3SC. These tires are a direct comnpetitor to the Nokian WR tires. I think Nokian changed the name when they revised the WR tire, maybe that is why your guy is saying these tires are no longer available.

The guys working in the service bays of the tire store where I bought these (a tire store which also sells Nokian tires) told me they feel the Vredestein Quatrac 3s are a longer wearing tire than the Nokian WR. Since they perform the free rotations they have a valid basis for their opinion.
