If it were me, I would try to use my old springs. There is no guarantee that the new ones won't sag in short order. At least that is my opinion.
As far as corrosion is concerned. I would use a wire wheel on the corrosion, and then sand the rest of the rust off and paint the spring with matte black corrosion resistant paint like Rust-o-Leum from Home Depot matte black.....I think it is 7777. Then just look under there at the corrosion and see if it comes back.
I feel it will take a lot to rust through the springs.
