easy to check the harness Posted by saabsince 93b [Email] (#972) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabsince 93b) on Sat, 12 Feb 2011 08:29:51 In Reply to: Thanks everyone, I'll have a go at it., 03Linear, Fri, 11 Feb 2011 19:06:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
You will see this "L" shaped piece of plastic going into the rear deck lid. There is a black rubber bellow attached to it that goes from the trunk lid to the body. Pull the bellows back from the L shaped thing and see if the wires are worn broken or pinched. If you find the problem there, you can pop out the L thing by bending it sideways.
It is a good idea to lengthen any wires that you splice. I took the liner off the lid and removed the harness from a clip to give more slack, and I splice in a longer piece of green wire. My problem was the trunk light did not work.
As everyone mentioned. This is a weak point in the 95 wiring back there....very common.....but a very easy fix too.
