I had a buddy swap out my fuel pump, he did it on the cheap, snapped the rigid line to the engine but he eventually put everything back together. Unfortunately my gauge also reads 3/4 when full. I didn't bother him about it and I'm not paying again to have someone dive in there.
It bothers you less with each week. :) I promise.
Also, from time to time I still get failure to register any level, sometimes a fillup will bring it only to 1/2 full, next time I crank it will go to 3/4 sometimes it drops to a 1/4. I consider the gauge entirely unreliable now and just go with clearing the trip odo.
Observation, and Q: I have been able to run the car down to 8 miles on the D.T.E gauge.... does this mean that the range is off and I can run the gauge to DTE 0 and still have gas? yes I know the fuel pump is cooled by fuel..
comeeee ooooon next gen 93!
