Motive Power Brake Bleeder - What a Sweetheart!! Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Fri, 16 Sep 2011 10:53:27 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Vacation day today so I could replace the all brake pads on my 9-5 and Flush/Bleed the brakes. This was the first time I had used the bleeder I received as a gift last year and is it sweet! So much easier than using a partner and yelling "Push, Release, Push, Release", etc.
The only inconvenient part is disconnecting the bleeder when finished. You need to take your time to be certain all fluid is out of the hoses, the tank is depressurized, and don't let the residual fluid weeping from the cap drip on anything.
I found it easier to bleed all brakes first, then go around the car a second time replacing pads; rather than bleed and replace each wheel separately. Jacking the car seven times and removing/remounting most wheels twice was easier than connecting/disconnecting the bleeder four times.
Oh, wouldn't a hoist or lift be nice..........
