So this is a whole lot of not good. I've been a good and loyal Saab owner for over 30 years going back all the way to my '79 900EMS which I bought new and still regret selling in 1998. My '85 900T 3-dr is still a wonderful car. But this 9-5? A totally different story. Just this year I've replaced the timing chain cover, brake booster and other assorted parts that cost me around $2700, closer to $4200 if my extended warranty had yet to expire. Which it now has. Which is why I can't bring myself to spend close to $3000 to repair it. If the repair shop will have it, I'm going to sell it to them. I can't believe it's coming to this, especially on a car with only 72k miles. But after the repairs cited above and through the years three water pumps, alternator, CPS, DIC and lots more repairs that I've tried to forget not to mention being towed 4 times, once over 150 miles and another slightly less than 100, I have no faith or confidence in this car and feel that the only thing I have to look forward to is the opportunity to throw even more hard-earned money at it. Time to move on...
