It is best not to go at a constant speed. Vary your speed constantly. Moderate accelleration is good for the new engine - it helps to seat the rings, so long as the temp is held down.
Also, IMHO you should always try to keep the RPM above 2000.
3rd, try not to do long trips while the engine is new. Try to keep the early trips to 30 miles or so - let the engine heat up to full temp, then cool down repeatedly over the first 500 miles.
On the otherhand, in an earlier post Dr Boost said the 2.3 4 cyl engine is incredibly well built, and SAAB factory people don't do anything at all about break-in. They just go for it, and the engines do just fine. Modern materials and manufacturing methods have pretty much taken care of the need to be very fussy during the break in.
