I'm willing to bet a lot of the sag is springs... I just replaced shocks + rear springs at 80k miles in our 2004 sedan after we destroyed a set of tires in <4k miles... I haul stuff in it, so I swapped out the original rear springs with brand new wagon springs (on Koni shocks). I was amazed by 2 things:
1) the ride height was completely restored (and then some) with the new, stiffer spring, even on the low perch on the Konis.
2) the rear suspension settled significantly in the week or so after installing them. I will post a new ride height when I get a chance to measure.
The new wagon springs were about 1/2" longer than the 80k sedan springs (both uncompressed)... didn't check the factory spec, but that says something... anyway, the new combination is great so far... oh, and for not eating tires with load, set the camber closer to zero rather than -2 degrees...
The GF sounds like a great find!
