I agree, toe in would do way more damage faster than camber alone...

I started on the upper perch as per your advice (thanks for all the suggestions btw, big help) but the ride height was way too high with the wagon springs (on a sedan) so moved to the lower. Even so I was almost 1/2" over spec but it sagged just a bit below spec (maybe 1/4" iirc). need to measure again.

I could easily raise it again in situ... that's a nice thing about the konis! I'd almost advocate using the lower perch + spacers to get the height right + then if it sags further, one can easily bump it up 2cm later without removing the shock...

fwiw, when I compared the konis dimensions with the original sachs shocks I took off, the lower perch of the konis was identical level to the oem perch on the sachs within a mm or so... (this is a 2004 Arc, may be different on an Aero?)... but if reusing the old springs, the extra 2cm the upper perch buys might be a good thing...

I didn't change the bushings, but didn't notice any obvious problems. I know that doesn't mean there aren't any! But my indy (a Saab specialist) didn't think it was worth doing (I'd get him to do that, I don't have a press). Sounds like the 9-5 can be aligned well enough, even if already sagged, that the tire wear is not a huge problem... in my case, I need it to haul heavy loads (like our older saabs do) without problems... hence the beefier shocks + springs to reduce the sag + alignment *change* under load...

I'm still watching my tires like a hawk though, so we'll see how this all plays out ;-)
