Installing/calibrating a new Neutral Safety Switch Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Wed, 21 Dec 2011 11:49:42 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a NSS on order, which may now take longer for delivery than I expected, and I have the WIS for installation instructions. Within the instructions is a "calibration procedure" which sounds very much like that used to set-up the three speed rear coaster hubs on the Cruiser Bikes my wife and I ride in the summer.
The instructions call for use of a special tool although no details are given what to do with the tool. The HQ for SPX who sells/distributes Saab service tools is only a couple miles from my work.
Is this special tool needed? Exactly how do I use it? It appears one end connects to the gear selection mechanism, does the other end clip to some part of the tranny case for the adjustment of the NSS?
Thanks,
