The first time we pulled the wheels off the son's '05 Aero last year, previous shop had them WAY too tight. Son couldn't budge. Even though he has 50-60 lbs on me, I thought the old man would show him how to attack stubborn bolts. Showed him that pushing down on wrench was limited to your weight, pulling up gave more (potential) force. Wouldn't budge. Next used my legs to really explode with all I had. I might have got a couple, but others stayed put. I was using my 1/2" extended handle ratchet, resigned to putting a pipe on it, finally got them.
The point to this ramble, the next day, boy was my rt shoulder sore. After a week or so, Googled some, found my symptoms were similar to torn rotator cuff, which can be caused by severe jerk to the tendon. Went to doc, just severe strain/tendonitis. It took months for it to heal.
So, all my future "hard jerks" will be limited to what my upper body can do, can push with legs, but won't be "exploding" with my legs.
