I am all ears as to how coolant mixture can change performance. It is good to have it close to 50/50 for the right protection etc.....but it is not that critical to performance.
Get a a Scan Gauge and plug it into your OBD II port and your can read real coolant temp and real inlet temp and 50 other readings from the computer. As has been pointed out the temp gauge is an idiot light set by the ECU.
