Given the maintenance that you have done, what is missing is cleaning the injectors. Suggest a large bottle of Techron Concentrate [must be concentrate] which will also clean combustion chamber deposits which, acting like glow plugs, promote pre-ignition and yield an acquired octane demand.
Summer fuels are decreased variability. This makes them more prone to creation of injector deposits. In the fall, as we still have summer fuel and cold weather, we see hard starting problems; which can be fixed in a day or two with Techron. The ECU might have inappropriate programming for extreme heat.
With our 03 and 04 Aero Wagons, MPGs increase in high temps and I drove for many hours at 106-107 degrees at 70&75MPG getting around 30MPGs. Did not notice any significant loss of power, but I am sure that there was some.
What octane are you using?
Maybe those plugs are part of the problem with intake air temps are high. You can try a set of the cooler running BCPR7ES plugs that are a low cost experiment.
