Jeff, I took time to read Mark' writing and Frans' too. Last saturday I replaced booster without removing bracket, since wipers seemed stuck in place and (the most important thing) earlier that day I had time to remove an old booster to make some practice. Once You've removed fuse box and battery, turbocharger' solenoid attached to firewall, carefully moving aside all pipes and wirings, You can easily reach the four bolts behind the booster. (this was the more difficult part of the job because of my "keyboard-player" hands). Once You've removed all four bolts, disconnect the brake pump from booster (two 13 mm bolts), suck brake fluid from reservoir with syringe or similar and disconnect return line from reservoir. Pull gently pump away from booster until it exits from vacuum chamber and....ooooplĂ (brake lines allow some movement but pay attention not to break anithing otherwise You'll need new lines + brake bleeding). You can pull the booster and view the small circlip which connects booster push rod to pedal rod. Push or pull that circlip with hands (depending on which way it was installed, how many turns it took to properly adjust rod' lenght - movable from left side of bracket with long and fine screw driver while reachable from righ side with long nose pliers, to avoid any jumpaway), then You would easily move booster away from your car (some twisting will be necessary anyway).
