Should I have to pay labor twice for a faulty part?

I am debating whether or not to destroy a shop on Yelp. At the moment I know I am not happy and debating my options.
Back in February, we had a Water Pump go bad, and had a shop replace the part.
Unfortunately, for the last 10 months, we've continued to lose small amounts of coolant. So we kept taking the car back, and they would pressure test it, and say they found nothing wrong with the new water pump. We replaced a couple other little parts along the way.
We recently changed independents. The new independent diagnosed the ongoing leak as a faulty water pump. So we went back to to the other shop to have it replaced under warranty. They did their usual thing where they pressure tested and initially refused to replace the water pump under warranty--I had a considerable argument with them. Coincidentally we were unable to pick the car up until the next day, and overnight, the car leaked and they finally caved on the warranty replacement.
They want us to pay for the labor on the second go-around though. I'm already pretty frustrated with this shop--but this is a 3 hour job so it's going to be like $300 more dollars at this same problem.
Is that common practice? It's not really the shop's fault the part was faulty--but it's not mine either. To me this seems more like "cost of doing business" for them than something I should eat. I'm taking it to them to fix the problem.
Thoughts? Before I ruin them on Yelp I wanted to get a balanced opinion.
