I replaced them, the OEM strut mounts are flimsy and one of them stripped out. I replaced them with moog IIRC and they were much beefier.

On my '00 and '01 the bump stops had disintegrated. and one of the bellows was cracked. I replaced them all. I suspect that the wear of those items is more a function of age than miles, so yours may be fine.
BTW you say you went with cheap shocks, I assume Monroe? Since I was doing 2 cars, all 4 corners, I went with Monroe too because of cost. I'm not impressed at all, and after 1 year and 15k miles they are already beginning to show signs of wear.
