Steve,
I did everything with car on jack stands - no lift. This involved some contortions to get under the right parts, but no worse than other DIY jobs. Went with the powerflex poly's - seem to tighten things up, and a breeze to install. Would absolutely NOT want to put stock trailing arm bushings in after seeing what a pain they were to remove.
I cannot stress enough that you need a rosebush tool for the cross stay bushings. This tool made the job of removing and inserting trivial. Without it I may have resorted to torching the car and claiming insurance :)
No alignment yet since I'm doing the front (Shocks, mounts, Control arm bushings, Ball joints, tie rod ends) next weekend. Hopefully a week won't trash the tires any worse than they already are from improper camber/toe due to low ride height/bad bushings.
Good luck
Ron
