If thats the case, I'll stop using S100 cycle cleaner as that product seems to do more damage than anything I've seen. Although, i have noticed with simple green that some of the fasteners have lost some of their luster over continued use. But more so with the S100. I have noticed that simple green will not eat away the finish of the Saab calipers like the wheel cleaner does. Maybe just plane soap and water is the better alternative with old fashioned elbow grease.
