Your wheels are painted and covered with a clear coat. The best thing to use is regular car wash, Zaino Bros (can be found at http://www.ecklers.com/) is the best. In fact, when it comes to waxing and car care, nothing beats Zaino. It is the car care standard for corvettes and other luxury cars. Anyway, the best way to clean the wheels is with a SOFT wheel brush (found at any car care store). For the deep wells/behind the spokes, the best brush to use is a radiator brush found at ACE hardware, it is soft and will not damage the wheels. After cleaning, you should wax the rims. I suggest Zaino Z1 and Z2 to follow. If there is stuck on grease or road tar, regular bug tar&remover is useful but you must clean with soap ASAP. Some of my car afficianado friends use a pH balanced boat cleaner which works wonders but I don't remember the name. The bottom line, wash and wax, they will stay cleaner, longer.
