I assume the conversation is about the front subframe and the rear most bushings.
I just replaced the rear with poly ones also...mine original ones were horrendous but I knew they bad and kept driving on then.. (see my posts
further down).
While I would do the poly again (they cost $60 on ebay) if I wanted a cheaper option one thing I saw when jacking up the car is that the bracket/plate under the rear bushing comes off on a single side. One
can then see bushing in all its pathetic glory. With the plate off I would
imagine one could squirt some polyurethane or hard caulking into the old
hollow bushing.. mine was so hollow one would think anything put in there would help. Certainly if I knew the plate came off on one side so easily I would have tried to put something in there earlier.
