When changing the cabin filter in our 9-5, i couldn't get the new Mann filter to slide in the last inch or so. I had to dreml the plastic part to match the old filter, as shown in my Saab Gallery (link below). It also helps to put slippery plastic tape on top so it slides under the foam block more easily. Not sure what they were thinking, but the Mann filter also has double sticky tape on top. If you stick the foam block on to that, there is no way it is going to slide in past the refrigerant pipes.
