You didn't tell us if the temp gauge was normal, but assuming it is, you need to check for ACC errors.
Your Owners Manual describes the procedure, as will many posts here. It requires pushing "Off" and "Auto" at the same time on the ACC. I'm not sure if you can have the engine running, or just key ON, engine OFF. As it cycles through, if all you get is a "0", all is good. Anything else, and there's two numbers, first it qty of errors, then individual codes.
The blend doors are a known issue, but for some people, just running the diagnostic will apparently "free" something sticking.
