My Wahler thermostat failed after just nine months and 9k miles. I replaced with the OE Motorad unit. We'll see how long that one lasts. I'm running G-48 "Blue" coolant. Don't know if that has any affect. We've also had record cold here in the Great Lakes area. That might have an effect although none of the other four cars I service have had Thermostat Failures.
