The valve cover doesn't get to extremely hot, maybe 350 to 400 degrees at the most. Any spray paint will work. This is the valve cover for my c-900 its 700 degree paint one finds in Home Depot but every hardware store carries paint. Pick your colors and have fun with it. Rustoleum spray paint has a good selection of colors at 700 degree. When you get up in a 1100 degree paint the choice of colors become limited to black,grey .. And that's about it
Buying the paint at a hardware store your looking at about 3$ for a can of 700degree rustoleum. Buying the same can of spray paint at an auto store will cost you 7 to 15$
I haven't needed a new valve cover gasket on my 9-5 yet or I'd be showing you a nicely painted 2.3 valve cover. Later
