@ Johnson: My 2002 Linear also experienced P1301 after replacing the IDM. I cleared the code but it subsequently returned along with P0301 (Cylinder #1 Misfire), and P0106 (Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Circuit). Engine idle RPM fluctuated between 800 and 1500. It was impossible to maintain a steady throttle speed. I fitted new NGK's and swapped IDM's, all to no avail. Then, it dawned on me.

EUREKA! The line that should have been attached to the rear of the throttle body was flopping around, unattached. Similarly, the source vacuum line from the intake manifold to the firewall solenoid had come off too. When both were reattached, the engine idle operated as designed.
