It has been shown that by dialing away the ACC panel from full cold to warm or hot, it will turn off the vacuum to that bypass valve and make it stop leaking for time being. Not all the time but plenty enough to test in an emergency situation.
It has been many times when customers have come in complaining about coolant leak and I look down there at the valve and it is bone dry, I start the engine and dial in full cold and it start peeing away like crazy from the valve.
But it is not a final solution, just to get you safe without ruining the engine. And also make sure to top off the coolant level so that you see if the Low Coolant message comes back on again.
