Hello out there! I am looking for some advice. I had an 04 arc rudely taken away from me and my wife on Route 93 outside of Boston by a young and rather clueless kid. Been looking to replace it for a while and recently drove a 2009 9-5 wagon (aero). Liked it and sent it out for a PPI at a dealer (with Saab tech people) near the current owner. Car was very clean with the exception of a alot of tiny chips on the hood and bumper. Interior was spotless with the exception of drivers side seat and handle showing normal wear for the mileage (95K). Long story short the car came back from the PPI with a list of about 2K in work that potentially could be problematic. Main issues are crank seal/oil pump leak (owner reports no drippage on his garage floor), PCV valve broken (although no CEL coming on and idle is fine), DIC that was replaced was a aftermarket model - no info on manufacturer but it has 17K miles on it and no complaints from owner, slight front brake pulsing, upper transmount torn (what is this? and how important is it?), serpentine belt cover is shattered - where is this located and how does something get in there to shatter it?
Much thanks for any input.
