Re: Oil switch replaced - light comes on intermittently Posted by Navid [Email] (#2069) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Navid) on Thu, 3 Jul 2014 19:54:15 In Reply to: Re: Turbo and Oil pressure switch leaking oil - thoughts?, vvack0matic [Profile/Gallery] , Mon, 30 Jun 2014 12:07:04 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So I had the oil pressure switch replaced today. Now while driving, twice I saw the oil light come on? Does that mean the old one had failed? And now that the light is on, does that mean I have bad oil pressure?
Further, the mechanic said the turbo leak is from the manifold and the turbo is going for sure.
So now, I'm not sure my next steps? I am a little DIYer but I'm not familiar enough to navigate this.
I would like to confirm first that my engine is not damaged, already in the event the oil pressure was low and I didn't know? How do I do that easiest? Cause if the engine is damaged, I may not spend any more $. Then, I can consider putting in a new turbo, and potentially finding the source of the intermittent (possibly) low oil pressure)
All advice appreciated.
