Apparently the Scotch-Locks have a reputation for failure, and I have had issues in the past getting them to bite through the insulation properly. Additionally, the Scotch-Locks may not be inherently water tight but rely on dielectric grease to achieve this capability.
The Posi-Tite connectors are endorsed by motorcyclists where lighting circuit splices are subject to both vibration and moisture. See link. I got both products in small lot sizes at affordable prices on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HTQL3YK/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00HTQL3YK&linkCode=as2&tag=thesaabnetwork).
