"Final question: Does anyone know for sure that I could modify the 9-5 setup (via Tech 2 or otherwise) so that the "OFF" position with the three-position rotary switch indeed kills all the lights, even the DRLs?"
Here is my setup:
Fuse 35 pulled, no DRLs.
Tech II programming: Headlights : Alternative 1
Foglights: Alternative 1
Left position of rotary switch: all lights off, flash with brights active.
Middle position of rotary switch: "City lights" or "parking lights" only, fog lights operable, flash with brights operable.
Right postion of rotary switch: all lights on, fogs operable.
You could use the middle position with the fogs off when parking at night, they aren't too bright. And kind of pretty, actually.
