As rpm and speed of car goes up and planes out to cruising, so will AMM reading go down in value because the demand of air is less at cruising than at acceleration.
Fuel injection opening time is doing the same letting more fuel in during acceleration than at cruising.
So just looking at AMM reading during driving trying to find a problem is sketchy at best unless you see some sharp drop down spikes for no apparent reason and maybe stumble at the same time.
AMM reading is not the same as the AMM correction value that you might have read about that we use On the Tech 2 when looking for bad AMM. And I don't think a generic code reader have the capability to display that value.
