Two lamp failures in one day! Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Tue, 8 Dec 2015 16:23:30 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Left for work this morning and I heard a Bing shortly after turning on the headlights. 'Front Lamp Failure' displayed on the SID. Sure enough, no illumination from the right side headlamp. Oh well, I have a spare in the glove box and I will change it tonight.
Left work this afternoon and I heard a Bing again, this time after stepping on the brake pedal in the parking lot. 'Brake Light Failure' on the SID this time. What?! Two lamp failures in one day? Or one bad Orange Relay?
The right headlamp filament was burned through when I pulled it out this afternoon. I opened up the right side rear lamp compartment and inspected the brake light bulb. Failed filament on this too. What are the odds for two lamp failures in one day? At least the temperature was 46 degrees this afternoon.
Off to the store for all new rear lamps, Stop/Tail and Turn Signal. All new rear lamps installed and two new headlamps waiting in the parts cabinet. I noticed that both City Lights are burned out so I should plan on doing those as well as the weird/obscure front turn signal lamps.
