Are you referring to the bushings (#11 in the image)? Without this, wouldn't the alternator sit closer to the passenger side, not further from it?
I doubt I can visually see the bushing? Can I feel them somehow? It's odd that the EPC says there's only one when it sounds like there is one for each upper and lower bolt? It lists two #12 screws. There's a VIN split on the bushing, which also seems odd.
If it's the bushings, I should be able to fix it without too much removal?
Darn frustrating. I spent some time today fixing the work of another indy, a somewhat well regarded Saab one no less (he doesn't post here).
