I drilled a hole in the back of the stuck lock at the exact location that my studying the old one told me.
It worked. I put in a small screwdriver and pushed the pin down, that is toward the ground or the bottom of the door. the lock released.
I lubed the lock and adjusted the striker. It could be that the lock was badly adjusted....that is too tight and did not have enough play to release.
I would post photos if I could. I did post photos on Saab Central if you care.
