Roger and others were right that it was the battery, but I have to say that it was so weird guys.
Over the years I've seen tons of dead batteries but NEVER have I seen a car so completely dead. I hope this helps someone in a similar situation because as you could tell I was very worried that it was a bigger deal.
Nothing had been left on and I have had no evidence of draining of the charge. The car has been starting strongly and consistently.
Just surprised - but pleasantly of course - that I am only $130 out of pocket for the new Interstate and not having to investigate some deeper and more expensive issue. Phew!
