You are correct, Sir!
Well, I guess you learn something new very day. I had the wife sit in the wagon and hit the washers - presto! The little door opened up and the washer assembly sprung out and squirted the headlight on the driver's side. Obviously working on hydraulic pressure in the washer lines and not powered otherwise. I've never seen this before! The side with the missing "door", nada.
It turns out that many months ago there was a leak somewhere in the line going to the pass side headlight washer, and we needed to get the car back from our repair tech, so he just disconnected the line. I'll have to get a flashlight and look more closely in the opening to see exactly what got sheared off when our teenaged driver swiped someone else's bumper. But finding a new assembly shouldn't be all that difficult.
