2003 AERO, 300,000 kms. Bolt on back of harmonic balancer backed out and destroyed front cover, so installed new cover, oil pump, replaced the timing chains, gears, tensioners etc. Had head cleaned and new valve seals installed. Installed new fuel injectors. Car starts and dies right away. If I give it throttle, it will stay running, but dies when pedal released. If run long enough to warm up a little, it will stay running, but rough, and check engine light flashes. Cold start with MAF disconnected it will idle smoothly. Vacuum gauge shows 16-17 inches vacuum at idle, fuel pressure good.
I borrowed a used MAF, but same symptoms.Getting codes p0300, p1662, and p0100.
What's next?
On the plus side, the engine is quieter than it has been in years, should have done the chains a while ago!!
