The power steering line is a pain if you don't drop the subframe. It can be done by lowering it though. I removed the exhaust line to have more room, lowered the subframe by removing the back two bolts, loosening the middle to the point of having only several threads holding and loosing the front two bolts. I also removed the nut on the back motor mount and unbolted the steering rack. Usually the power steering hoses will be replaced in entirety because of a rusted coupling. Leave the rack loose until you get the connection a the rack tight, there is very little room and the nut on the hose will only turn about a quarter turn each time with an open end wrench.
If you do support the engine from the top side it will give you peace of mind that it can't fall.
Marking the subframe location may help to re-align but I never have as I replaced a bunch of other steering parts and needed a front end alignment afterwards anyway.
But....all this was on a 2.3
Good luck
