I personally use "Gripen Interceptor" instead of "Dame Edna". It's a matter of personal choice. That said, agree with most things said including tighter steering and handling. Very powerful engine in sport mode with an automatic. We have a 2006 which has the same facelift. The things I still don't like are the heavier hood, flimsier front bumper, less effective headlamp design for halogens, moving the Saab Info Display to the gauge package which inhibits copilot information, missing rear centre head restraint (cheapout?), red dominant tail lights that still have amber signals, and a single rear backup light. On the plus side, handling and steering and suspension better, has a more modern look inside and out and is more powerful than our 2005 Arcs at the expense of fuel economy. We have the base seats which are more durable than the notorious sport seats that tear at the two tone patch. Our handles are peeling too and they feel loose when you pull them compared to the previous gen - that definitely was a dumb move on Saabs part and should have been addressed early on before release. A well sorted out car that is an easy DIY with the help of this forum. Keep on top of the 6 or 7 common issues and you are fine for a lifetime of driving. As a rare vehicle now, it will turn heads as people drive by.
