Sorry, but I probably cheated in describing the time - add five or ten minutes for jacking and installing jack stands. I already had the car on stands to change the oil, so the time was only for removing the pieces that were in the way, swapping the starter, buttoning up, and lowering. I was motivated, because Thanksgiving dinner was coming up. s
I am learning (slowly) that removing 'extra' things can actually speed me up by making the next part of a job easier. It helps a LOT if you know ahead what size wrenches are needed, and I remembered about needing to shift the positive battery cable to clear the stud because I replaced the cable a while ago.
