which refers to a mid year part split 2004-2005? (pre-2004 split models have a different fix kit. there is a vin number split in the TSB that will be helpful)
I cannot promise you that you are in this specific bulletin that requires saab part 12 765 864 to fix....(Click Here (the idea is the longer plastic motor rod goes into the blend door shaft further, for more surface area connection, thus bypassing the broken collar you show in your picture.

I did this with my 2004... and the idea is that yes, the blue female collar is cracked, but the longer amrature gets more surface area purchase and can control the blend door.
