Happens on my car as well Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] (#112) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SWEDECAR) on Sun, 15 Mar 2020 09:32:08 In Reply to: Re: Driver's side blend door 2004 ARC, andtheHawks [Profile/Gallery] , Sun, 8 Mar 2020 16:45:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It's a very intricate ACC system with many parts that goes wrong. Even when all parts are intact, you still have the problems with a big plastic housing where several drums needs to rotate back and forth to deliver the air and temp.
Since the calibration of electric motors is done by running each motor to its end position and the ACC panel measuring the rise of amperage when it hits the stop, it only takes a bad day of the plastic housing being warped enough to bind one or more of the drums before it hits the stop and the ACC panel logs that as its new end position upsetting the whole ACC function.
Next calibration, it might run to its full stop and everything is back to normal again.
It's been several years on my car it has done it's song and dance and back to normal again. Usually it is in the summer when suddenly, it starts to blow hot air through one of the temp zones but not the other.
