I chose to go with Zimmermann rotors and Textar pads. I replaced the overly hard factory pads on my '08 Aero with Textar pads previously and enjoyed an improvement in braking power. I had used Zimmermann rotors on my 2000 Base 9-5 previously.
This combination was hard to locate and I had to go with a parts supplier I had never used before, Autoplicity. The parts are all sitting in my garage for installation. Probably at same time as the upcoming winter/summer tire swap.
R1Concept brakes have the easiest to use website for ensuring you get rotors that are exact replacements for your car. Too many different combinations of rear and front sizes and types of rotors for the owner to search through, IMHO.
My favorite pads for 9-5 braking power are Mintex but they are no longer marketed in the US, and importing them from the UK seemed foolish. Textar, Mintex, and Pagid pads are all made by TMD Friction, So a set of UK market Mintex pads for the 9-5 'may' be the same as a set of Textar or Pagid brand pads for a 9-5.
