Follow-up on Epoxy Patch methodology
My recent post ( Saabga? ) concerning excellent surface prep before black metal epoxy applied mentioned cleanup the referenced shop vacuum. Not mentioned where 2" vacuum tube placed:
OVER not inside NOR duck tapped ... Oil filler tube PROVIDED
1. PCV connection at VC removed, PCV connection removed at pre entering turbo plastic elbo.
2. 6 hp shop vacuum looped through bungee under eng bonnet so vacuum tube hangs down
3. and a muffler u-braket inserted into oil filler tube - NO DIRECT SEAL vac to tube PLEASE
4. Engine oil drained ( or some will lift up tube and fowl Vac tube and vacuum filter
This process was used on all fluid ( brake clean and deep purple degreaser ) AND epoxy 1st coat
800 miles TC bone dry :)
