My dear Cassidy Jr (02 ARC Wagon 6cyl, 169K mi) hasn't been running as smoothly the last 1000mi or so. A little longer to start, lags a bit on acceleration and decel's a bit rapidly below set idle before coming back to steady at about 735rpm's in neutral.
About 3 mo ago I was going thru my display option w/ my Teck-II (it knows? way more about me than I do about it;) And noted the knock and mis-fire counts were in the 20-35 range on cyl 1-3-5, and about 100 on 2-4-6.
Thinking DIC I swapped a clean looking donor w/ a more recent production number. It seemed to run better but then I developed the engine cut-out-no start until cooled CSP sensor prob.
Now I've replaced CSP sensor and spark plugs (NGK OEM Iridium) and now I scan the status and I get:
Cyl Knock count Mis-Fire
1 143 124
2 316 872
3 437 156
4 274 861
5 173 142
6 248 378
Are these cumulative counts or counts since the last time the engine was shut down?
Being new to the Tech-II can anyone help me understand what I'm seeing and point me to a reference I check my read values against what they should be?
Much obliged to the collective wisdom and help in this forum!
