cold start problem Posted by adl6009 [Email] (#2526) [Profile/Gallery] (more from adl6009) on Sun, 4 Oct 2020 12:22:19 In Reply to: What's happening on cold start?, fdw201 [Profile/Gallery] , Sun, 4 Oct 2020 11:35:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
At the first start of the day, when the air temp is below 60F, the car will crank without starting for an extended period. Right to the point I begin to think I am at the end of the battery reserve. I will crank it for a while, then try again, usually it will take 4 or 5 tries to get it going. (To me it "feels" like fuel problem). The rest of the day it starts right up. Interesting that you mention the cruise control which does not work on my car, I will be looking at that after I get the starting problem fixed. Could that be related to the tbody? Also looking at the rpms on my digital read out and it fluctuates between 700 and 750 rpm, staying mostly between 720 and 735. What is the acceptable range?
